Exciting trails and Mediterranean flair: Ascona-Locarno is a real beauty of an MTB region. With its mild climate and lots of sun, the season is pretty much all year round. At the heart of the area is Lake Maggiore with its sophisticated little towns. But the side valleys with their traditional villages also ooze local charm. The mountains rise up directly behind the houses, villas and hotels, with trails for all tastes. Old footpaths, newly built tracks, flow interspersed with technical sections. And when your biking day is over, how about a quick dip in the lake followed by an ice cream or an ‘aperitivo’?
